Gulley Road is now closed for a month between Hart Road and McCulloch Road.

The closure is to accommodate work on the Integrated Water Project as crews install new water main lines.

While the road is closed, motorists will be directed to follow a detour route along McCulloch and Hart Roads.

“Motorists are asked to follow detour signs and directions of traffic safety personnel, as every effort will be made to minimize disruptions,” said a release from the City of Kelowna.

Pedestrian and school bus access will be maintained and both residents and businesses within the work zones will be able to access their properties.

The $86-million Integrated Water Project will deliver clean drinking water to more than 2,000 southeast Kelowna households by 2021.

It will also bring a sustainable water supply to agriculture in the south Mission.
