Spring is in the air and it is time to get your garden growing!
The Flower Power Garden Tour, taking place on Saturday, June 17th, from 9am to 4pm, is offering demonstrations and expert advice to help any gardener grow their knowledge. You can partake in the self-guided tour of seven gardens , including Canada’s Garden Destination of the Year, a private culinary garden, a gardener’s garden and an urban garden to see some beautiful blooms and edibles. There will also be artists for you to enjoy and tastings! You can purchase tickets online.
Another notable event in the community is the Okanagan Feast of Fields, taking place on August 13th! The Feast of Fields is a three-hour wandering tour and gourmet harvest festival. It highlights the connections between the farmers and chefs, field and table and farm folks and city folks. With a wine glass and linen napkin in hand, guests will stroll across a farmer's field, travel from tent to tent listening to live music and taste gourmet creations from some of BC's top chefs, farmers, food artisans and beverage producers.
