In a miraculous recovery, the 12 Thai soccer boys and their coach have been safely retrieved from the Tham Luang cave in Thailand.

However, the situation in the Thailand cave has left a series of question marks above the heads of Canadians – and truly, the world – as people attempt to fathom the almost unprecedented situation that the youth soccer team and their coach were stuck in.

An experienced diver, Kera "Puff" Rolsen – also known as @Where_Is_Puff on Twitter – has written a series of tweets in an effort to explain to those who have never been cave diving the problems the boys were facing on their way out.

Rolsen describes the difficulties that accompany a regular dive: temperature, current, size and visibility, many of which were not in favour of the Thai soccer team – especially considering many had to learn how to swim shortly before the dive.

Although written before the complete rescue of the young boys, Rolsen's thread helps readers understand how truly remarkable the successful completion is, writing, "every young man that emerges from that cave alive will be a testament to the indomitable human spirit."

She also mentioned the extensive training that the Thai Navy Seal diver who died on the trek had, in comparison to the young boys who would be starting in less than an optimal physical condition.

NowMedia will have more information on the condition of the young players and their coach as it becomes available.
