The heat is back!

Temperatures could reach north of 30°C in Kelowna today with the sun shining, but enjoy that sun cause we could be back to some wet stuff as soon as Friday.

“The heat is on! An upper ridge strengthens over BC today bringing heat from the south into our region,” explains Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist. “Expect sun and temperatures near 30°C for a daytime high.”

“The ridge will shift eastward and it will open the door to more clouds tomorrow with the risk of showers by Friday afternoon or evening.”

If you put away the sunscreen in recent days, you won’t want to leave the house without it as the UV index will get to a very high 9 in Kelowna today.

Allergy medicine won’t be as essential, however, as it’s low to moderate on the pollen index today and expected to be low tomorrow.
