The B.C. River Forecast Centre estimates that the level of the Fraser River near Farrell Street is just above eight metres. Flooding typically occurs in this area at around 9.4 m.

According to the centre, it is expected to drop further throughout the week.

As the threat of rising rivers has not yet completely passed, all of the gabion diking that was been installed will remain in place for the time being.

Paddlewheel Park, the island in Cottonwood Island Nature Park and sections of the Heritage River Trail near the rivers will remain closed out of caution.
