Arctic air in place over the Interior will combine with moisture advancing from the Pacific to give steadier snow beginning overnight. Amounts will be from 2 to 4 cm. On Thursday a stronger impulse will result in more snow and amounts of 5 to 10 cm are forecast for much of the Similkameen, Okanagan, Arrow-Slocan and West Kootenay regions. More snow is likely for Friday.
Kamloops RCMP is reporting that Highway 5 is blocked southbound near the Inks Lake turnoff by a tractor trailer unit on its side. It is unknown at this time how long the highway will remain closed.
