You’ll want to pack up the car and head to Sun Peaks in late August for a wonderful weekend of music.

The resort has announced Music in the Mountains, which will take place on the mountain the weekend of Aug. 25 and 26.

The weekend of free outdoor concerts will feature a pair of award-winning Canadian headliners in Dan Mangan and Bedouin Soundclash.

“Last year, an estimated 7,000 attendees pulled up lawn chairs for each of our free outdoor concerts,” said a release from the resort. “This year, we anticipate just as many concert-goers will be dancing slopeside.”

Dan Mangan will play Saturday night at 6 p.m., while Bedouin Soundclash takes the stage the next day at 1 p.m.

Also scheduled for the weekend is indie pop band Sister Speak, who will perform on Saturday at 3 p.m.

All shows will be slopeside of The Annex.
