At 27, Luke Menkes was in no rush to become the man he grew up to be. But that all changed when his dad told him he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and that he needed to take over the real estate business, which included a potential $30 million dollar project in the Cayman Islands. 

Just like that, it was time to grow up, move to the Caymans and finish what his dad started. But then a big one-two punch hit and they don't get any bigger than a hurricane that rips the roof off the development and the world financial crisis of 2008.
