    Crime Stoppers month starts 2018 off with impressive statistics

    The Prince George Crime Stoppers Society has just released their statistics from 2017.

    In 2017, the society received 565 tips from the general public.

    According to the issued statement, those 565 tips resulted in 24 arrests, $103,000 in property recovered and $153,750 worth of drugs seized.

    The entire month of January is crime Stoppers month. There will be many community events to take part in over the next several weeks.

    On January 6th, Crime Stoppers will be at the Northern Sport Centre to cheer on the UNBC Timberwolves men’s and women’s basketball teams. 

    During halftime the Crime Stoppers unit will hold a paper airplane toss. Come down and participate for a chance to win an exclusive Queen 40th Anniversary DVD set.

    On January 12th, the Crime Stoppers unit will be at the CN Centre to watch the Prince George Cougars take on the Lethbridge Hurricane. Come down, say hi, and try to win some cool prizes!
