    UPDATE: Coquihalla reopens southbound after Christmas closure

    (UPDATE: Dec. 25 @ 10:40 pm) – The Coquihalla's southbound lanes have reopened.

    They were shut down for more than four hours Thursday night after an accident.

    (Original story: Dec. 25 @ 7:15 pm) – The Coquihalla is closed once again.

    DriveBC reports that the highway's southbound lanes were shut down around 6:30 pm due to a "vehicle incident."

    Motorists on the highway report that there was an accident near Coldwater Road and the road is very slick due to black ice.
