Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and relatable Community Ambassador and Social Media Influencer to join our vibrant team. This role involves increasing brand awareness, promoting products and special events, and fostering community engagement through various social media platforms.

The successful candidate will personify the KelownaNow brand, radiating positivity, authenticity, and professionalism while still being personable. We're looking for someone who is approachable, and relatable to the KelownaNow community.

Responsibilities:

– Build, manage and maintain a strong online presence across multiple social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram (including Threads), Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat and YouTube

– Create engaging, creative and informative content to foster audience interaction and boost brand loyalty

– Attend community events, network with attendees and conduct live streams and video blogs for our audience

– Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for campaigns and initiatives

– Demonstrate and explain products in an engaging and relatable manner, sharing personal preferences and experiences

– Continuously monitor, track and report on feedback and online reviews to optimize performance

Requirements:

– Exceptional communication and networking skills

– Comfortable and charismatic on camera

– Proficient with social media platforms and their respective best practices

– Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting

– High level of professionalism, authenticity and a strong personal drive

– Familiarity with the local Kelowna community is a plus

– A valid driver's license

– Love for community
