  • Chiefs tie up series with a pair of wins over the weekend

A perfect weekend has the Kelowna Chiefs right back in their KIJHL conference final series.

After dropping the first two games to the Revelstoke Grizzlies on home ice, the Chiefs hit the road for game three on Friday, which was as close to a must-win as you can get.

The team certainly delivered, scoring twice in the second period and twice in the final frame for a 4-0 shutout win.

Dylan Kent, Myles Mattila, Juanre Naude and Zach Erhardt had the goals for Kelowna, while Braeden Mitchell made 28 saves for the shutout.

On Saturday, the Chiefs came out firing again in game four, outshooting Revelstoke 41-27 en route to a 5-2 victory.

Ryan Stack, Kaden Stewart and Erhardt all had a goal, while Kayson Gallant added a pair in the win.

The two teams will play game 5 in Kelowna on Monday night before returning to Revelstoke for game six on Tuesday.

If the series goes the distance, game seven would be played at Rutland Arena on Wednesday.
