Interior Health is sending out a public health warning after a case of COVID-19 was identified at the pharmacy inside a Kamloops grocery store.

The pharmacy affected is inside the Save-On-Foods in the Columbia Place Shopping Centre.

Anyone who visited the pharmacy on March 10, 13, 14 or between March 16-21 may have been exposed to the virus.

If that includes you, you’re asked to immediately self-isolate and monitor for symptoms for 14 days from the time of you visit. 

Symptoms include fever, coughing, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, along with milder symptoms like a runny nose, fatigue, body aches, diarrhea, headaches, sore throat, vomiting and red eyes.

As long as customers of the pharmacy remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, they can return to their normal routine 14 days after the date of their visit.

Testing is not required for those who have mild respiratory symptoms, but if it worsens, you should call 811 or your healthcare provider.

After the case was identified, the Save-On-Foods pharmacy took measures to ensure the safety of its customer and staff.
