  • BrainTrust Canada launches holiday fundraising campaign

The holidays are not only a time for gift-giving amongst your family but throughout your community too.

One way you can give back to our community this year is by participating in BrainTrust Canada’s “Make the Season Brain Bright” campaign.

From now until Dec. 31, BrainTrust will be accepting monetary donations to better support their clients and those within the community living with a brain injury.

The organization has a goal of raising $10,000 to help subsidize the costs of programs such as counseling and rehabilitation for those in need.

“We wanted to do this at the end of the year because we find some of our clients do not have the same benefits that many others may have due to their injury,” said Carly Suddard, the prevention marketing and events manager at BrainTrust Canada.

“We see that there is a large gap within the people who utilize our services, some don’t have the same family support or the financial means to make the best of the holiday season so we are asking the community for some support.”

BrainTrust has created an online wish book, that shows the price points of various services provided to help donors better understand the impact of their support.

A $25 donation will go on to pay for one hour of Life Skills Support, $50 will provide a bicycle helmet to someone in need to help prevent a potential brain injury and $100 can go towards group programs or Brain Injury counselling.

The Stone Sisters Group has also stepped up to support the cause, agreeing to match donations up to $5,000, meaning that your contribution will be worth double until the end of the year and help to create a lasting impact within the community.

Those who wish to donate to the “Make the Season Brain Brighter’ campaign can visit the BrainTrust Canada website to do so in addition to learning more about the programs and services they provide.
