The Martensville, Sask. native played just seven games in 2020-21 due to COVID-19.

In 2019-20, the young defenseman recorded 10 goals and 30 assists for the Martensville U15 team.

“Rylan is a reliable puck moving defenseman that can contribute at both ends of the rink,” said Robbie Sandland, director of player personnel.

“His ability to get back to pucks and make sound decisions under pressure, combined with his physicality and compete, make him an effective player.

Sandland added that the club sees a lot of upside in Pearce and is looking forward to watching him develop in a Blazer uniform.

Pearce will be in Kamloops for training camp next month.
