The Washington Capitals have signed Ryan Hofer to an entry-level contract.
It’s a standard three-year deal for the Kamloops Blazers forward, who was acquired from the Everett Silvertips on Jan. 8.
The 20-year-old was drafted by Washington 181st overall in the 2022 NHL entry draft.
In 53 games this season with Kamloops and Everett, he’s scored 36 goals and added 22 assists.
That goal total is good for seventh in the WHL, while he also ranks third in faceoff wins with 706, third in shots with 238 and eighth in penalty minutes with 94.
In 142 career wHL games, Hofer has recorded 67 goals and 58 assists.
