There’s plenty to do at Big White for Family Day and that will likely be reflected with big crowds.

The mountain prides itself on being one of the best family resorts around, something today’s holiday is all about.

“We spend a ton of time travelling to different ski hills with our kids, and they all have amazing things going for them,” says Tessa Treadway, who’s behind the Instagram-adventure profile ‘Free Range Family.’

“But one thing Big White really has is that every detail is thought through of how to facilitate things and make things easy with your kids.”

One thing the kids will enjoy today is the recent snowfall the mountain has seen, as another 2 centimetres of snow has the alpine snow base sitting at 201 cm today.

It’s a chilly start to the day at -14°C, but it should warm up a few degrees and be a beautiful day above the clouds at Big White.

There’s unlimited visibility, scattered clouds and calm winds to start the day.
