Crews are performing more avalanche control on Hwy 1 today.
This time, it's from 1 pm until 3 pm on the west edge of Glacier National Park and it'll close the road in both directions.
There are no detours available, but travellers should be able to plan around the two hour closure with a pit stop on Revelstoke or Golden.
All of the avalanche control going this week is necessary to keep the highways safe after the large amounts of snow that have hit the region over recent days.
If there are any changes to the timetable for the highway reopening, NowMedia will update this story.
