After Wednesday’s powder alert, Big White was close to issuing another one on Thursday.

The mountain received 7 centimetres of new snow over the past 24 hours, bringing the alpine snow base to 213 cm.

While the forecast doesn’t call for any more on Thursday, the snow is expected to return on Friday, just in time for the weekend.

It’s -11°C to start the day at Big White with unlimited visibility, scattered cloud and calm winds.

All 119 runs are open at the resort, with all 15 lifts spinning to get you where you need to go on the mountain.

If you are up at the hill today, think about sticking around in the evening for trivia night at the Moose Lounge from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
