Amanda Bentley brings Adele tribute concert series home to the Okanagan

After years of performing on stages across Canada, Okanagan musician Amanda Bentley is bringing a deeply personal tribute to Adele back to the communities that shaped her, with a concert series designed as much around shared experience as musical excellence.

Adele Tribute Show: This Is Adele by Amanda BentleyThe series begins May 28 at the Kelowna Community Theatre, followed by June 11 at the Cleland Community Theatre in Penticton and June 13 at the Venables Theatre in Oliver.

Bentley is a singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist whose career has taken her far beyond the region. As a Fender endorsed solo artist she toured across Canada with radio play throughout the globe. She has performed as a member of Jully Black’s band performing with Harry Belafonte, Alicia Keys, Holly Cole, Rufus Wainwright and K'naan. She has also opened for Canadian music icons Tom Cochrane and Barney Bentall. This spring and summer, she brings that experience home through a live concert series rooted in connection, storytelling, and the collective joy of being in the room together.

The concerts are intentionally crafted as an evening to be shared. An excuse to dress up, linger, sip champagne, and settle in with friends for a night that feels special and unhurried. Bentley’s approach honours not only the music, but the ritual of gathering, listening, and feeling something together.

Adele Tribute Show: This Is Adele by Amanda Bentley“This show comes from a really personal place….It’s about nuance, restraint, and emotional honesty,” says Bentley. “Adele’s music has always felt like something you experience with your community. There is a sense of permission to feel deeply, sing along, and be fully present. Bringing that energy into my home communities means a lot to me.”

Backed by a six piece band hand selected for the project, Bentley approaches the music with honesty and restraint, focusing on emotion and musicianship rather than imitation. The result is an immersive live experience that feels intimate while still carrying the power of a full band.

The tribute series reflects a growing appreciation across the Okanagan for live music experiences that feel grounded, communal, and rooted in place. For Bentley, it is both a celebration of the music and a homecoming.
