Parts of Alberta have been hit with an early dose of winter and it’s affecting air travel in and out of Kelowna.

A few flights have been delayed and some have even been cancelled this morning and into the early afternoon.

As of now, WestJet flights 253 (Calgary), 553 (Toronto), 3320 (Vancouver) and 3125 (Edmonton) are all delayed coming into Kelowna International Airport (YLW).

WestJet flight 3163 from Calgary, originally expected to arrive at 1:16 p.m., has been cancelled.

Heading out of the Okanagan, WestJet flight 3050 to Edmonton was cancelled at 10 a.m., as is WestJet flight 3162 to Calgary at 2 p.m.

WestJet flights 3321 (Vancouver), 554 (Toronto), 3325 (Vancouver) and 3198 (Edmonton) are all delayed at this time.
