You have six months to pick out a new bathing suit and work on your beach bod, because Mexico is calling.

Sunwing has announced that it will be expanding its flight service from Kelowna this coming winter.

That includes a new, direct flight between Kelowna and Los Cabos for the first time, which will begin flying on Dec. 15, 2018.

They’ll also be bringing back their popular weekly flight services between Kelowna and Cancun, Mexico, as well as Varadero, Cuba.

This gives Kelowna residents three convenient options to escape the cold this winter, as they’ll all fly weekly until April 20, 2019.

“We are delighted to be providing our customers in Kelowna with even more travel options this coming winter,” said Andrew Dawson, president of tour operations for Sunwing.

“Los Cabos is consistently one of our popular vacation destinations and we’re sure this new service will be well received.”

YLW airport director, Sam Samaddar, added his excited for this news, saying that the airport has “heard from passenger that they want to see more service to sunny destinations.”
