It should be a beautiful, hot day in Kelowna, but you may want to get out and enjoy it sooner rather than later.
Although it’ll be pushing towards 30°C for most of the day, clouds are supposed to roll in this afternoon and they could bring a bit of the wet stuff with them.
“Morning sun will turn into a mix of sun and cloud when a southwesterly flow develops over our region,” says Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist. “Slight instability will also bring a slim chance of showers this afternoon.”
“Daytime highs will continue to be above seasonal today in the mid to upper 20s, but cooler air moving in will bring out temps back down to below seasonal this weekend.”
English notes that precipitation is likely this weekend as well.
Even though the clouds and rain may play a factor today, you’ll still want to grab your sunscreen and allergy medicine on your way out the door.
The UV index is only at 1 this morning, but is expected to get all the way up to 9, which is very high.
Meanwhile, the pollen index is high today as well.
At 6:50 a.m. it’s 9°C in Kelowna and we hope you have a fantastic Thursday!
