The community has spoken, and Colin Basran will once again act as Mayor of Kelowna for four more years. 

After a ferocious campaign between Basran and his competitors Tom Dyas, Bobby Kennedy and Bob Schewe, the re-elected mayor swept the polls with nearly 60% of the votes in his favour. 

"Collectively this has been three of the hardest months we've ever had, and for us, you know what, this is so satisfying for us," said Basran during his exuberant victory speech. 

Although taking a big victory Basran didn't forget to give a shout out to the other names on this year's ballot. 

"This is not easy, putting your name on that ballot takes a lot of courage, So I want to thank all of the candidates who ran amazing campaigns," 

Joining Basran in office for the next four year will be seven of the incumbent councillors with the addition of Loyal Wooldridge.
