  • 6 places to grab a tasty hot chocolate in Kelowna

There’s no better time to enjoy a hot chocolate than when winter sets in: holiday tunes are on, the fireplace is lit, and you’ve got a hot cup of molten chocolate deliciousness in your hand.

Whether you’re going skating downtown at Stuart Park, for a walk down the quiet Mission Greenway, or staying inside to catch up with friends and family, sipping on a quality hot chocolate keeps you warm and your sweet tooth satisfied. Here are some of the best hot chocolates in Kelowna to seek out this season!

    Belgian Hot Chocolate from Blenz

Blenz crafts their hot chocolates with pure melted Belgian chocolate! You can pick dark, milk, or white chocolate, depending on your favourite flavour.

Served with whipped cream, they’re decadent and full of authentic chocolate flavour. Try them with a shot of espresso for an extra caffeine buzz!

Gunbarrel Hot Chocolate at Big White

You might remember our feature last winter on the Gunbarrel Grill at Big White, where they serve a boozy coffee down the barrel of an antique shot gun. What you might not remember is that they also make a Gunbarrel Hot Chocolate, made with a caramelized sugar rim, brandy, crème de cacao, Grand Marnier, and a fresh homemade vanilla whipped cream.

This luscious creation will warm you from the inside out after a cold day on the hill, but be warned that it packs a serious boozy punch that might make you sing “say, what’s in this drink?”

    Annegret’s Hot Chocolate

Annegret’s makes a signature hot chocolate crafted from their very own homemade chocolate. Straight from the chocolate shop, this hot chocolate is about as authentic as they come!

They use the highest grade imported Swiss and Belgian chocolate, which means you can get a taste of European chocolate tradition right here in Kelowna. 'Tis the Season!

    Mayan Mocha from Bliss Bakery

The incredible baristas at Bliss have crafted their version of a hot chocolate and made it famous in Kelowna. The Mayan Mocha is inspired by the spicy cocoa flavours of Mexican hot chocolate, and made with espresso, steamed milk, and whipped cream.

You will love how the rich chocolate flavour pairs with the warm spice, and how the bitterness of the coffee marries with the sweetness of the cocoa and whipped cream! It’s a flavour bomb, and just the thing to warm you up on a winter day.

Vegan Hot Chocolate from Naked Café

If you’re vegan, plant-based, lactose intolerant, or just a chocolate lover, you’ll love the Naked Café’s Vegan Hot Chocolate. Made with coconut or soy milk and served with vegan marshmallows, this is a guilt-free treat anyone can enjoy!

Add a shot of their homemade vegan ‘Baeley’s' liqueur for $3 to make it an 'adult' hot chocolate – the perfect ingredient to have yourself a merry little Christmas.

    Pulp Fiction Coffee House

Pulp Fiction tries to source locally as much as possible, and so for their decadent hot chocolate, they use pure Belgian Dark Chocolate from Annegret’s Chocolates to make their cup of chocolatey heaven.

Pulp Fiction is the perfect spot to settle in with a hot chocolate and a great book, or to grab n' go as you peruse the heart of downtown Kelowna.

These epic hot chocolates pair perfectly with the cold weather and holidays. #TreatYoSelf to a delicious hot chocolate this winter!
