  • 5 reasons why you need a retreat in your life

Sometimes we all need a little bit of a getaway. Whether it’s to escape everyday life, to reconnect with yourself or with someone else, or simple to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul, a retreat from regular life can be much needed and very beneficial.

Even if you don’t find yourself in a rut, there are always reasons to sign up for a weekend away.

    1. Gain Clarity When You Disconnect

When you are away from your phone or your computer because you're enjoying your morning coffee or are dreaming about the adventures of the day, you gain a more free-spirited feeling that fosters clarity in your life. Routine and responsibility go hand-in-hand when you are in the daily happenings of life, but this is not the case on a retreat! Which is the perfect way to get away from the every day!

    2. Reconnect with Yourself and Your Person

There's a strong chance when you escaped on a retreat, that you signed up for a reason. Whether it was to reconnect to yourself, your best friend or significant other, retreats give you an opportunity to really check in with yourself. You can create a sense of ease of spending quality time with the person you went with. Quality over quantity works in your favour every time!

    3. Gain New Appreciation for Home and For How Hard You Work

Sleeping in a luxurious bed at a magical estate accommodation can be an awesome experience and also a total game-changer for appreciating how much you love your own bed and the comforts of home. Enjoying time away in a new space can give you a fresh look at how hard you really do work and how involved you are with it. Often, we don't get enough of a clean break from work on a weekend at home because it's the same as every other weekend. Retreats have the effect of perking you up to go back to work with new memories and more energy!

    4. An Opportunity to Get in Nature

Nature is hands down one of the most potent ways to enhance mental wellness. Adventuring amidst the trees and mountains, and walking near lakes and streams can be both calming and inspiring at the same time. Nature is one of the most underrated and overlooked medicines on the planet, plus it's FREE!

    5. Branch Out Into Other People's Lives

At retreats you meet new people who you have at least one thing in common with – you're both at the retreat! Everyone has signed up for their own set of reasons and when you come together in this collective way, you create new experiences. New experiences with other awesome people gets you out of your comfort zone and into someone else’s life as a simple byproduct of being around them. It's really easy to stay close to what makes you feel at ease and the true magic of connection happens when you get curious about others!
