Victoria police have issued over $1,000 worth of fines to a 17-year-old man following a serious collision.

According to police, several Victoria officers attended Clover Point at 11 p.m. on Saturday night after a vehicle was observed crashing through a metal barrier and traveling down an embankment with occupants fleeing from the car.

Officers quickly arrived on scene and the driver was identified.

The driver later returned to the scene and was issued serval tickets including not having a driver’s license, failure to remain at the scene of an accident and driving without due care and attention.

The other occupant of the vehicle was located and found to be uninjured.
