The Okanagan is a paradise for Rosé lovers! With over 200 wineries and a rosé for every palate, the Okanagan is the place to indulge all summer and never sip the same wine twice. Here are 14 of our favourite rosés, (in no particular order) but there are countless more to discover and fall in love with!
 

Silkscarf

Silkscarf Winery, located in Summerland, creates a perfectly pale pink Saignée Rosé made from Shiraz and Pinot Noir grapes. You’ll notice notes of cherry, sweet almond and lilac on the nose but on the palate, it’s a little bit sweet with bright flavours of rhubarb and maraschino cherries.  

Syncromesh Wines

Syncromesh Wines, a terroir-driven winery in the heart of Okanagan Falls makes exceptional Rieslings, and you’ll love their Cabernet Franc Rosé! It’s delicate, beautifully ripe and full of texture and aromatics like cantaloupe, apple lees and grapefruit.

Sperling Vineyards

Located right off Benvoulin, Sperling makes a rosé look-a-like called the Natural Amber Pinot Gris. With that beautiful orangey-pinkish hue, and flair from wild yeast and a malolactic ferment, this wine is full of character and juicy stone fruit flavours.
 

Kitsch Wines

One of Kelowna’s newer wineries, Kitsch is crafting wines to remember. Their 2017 Pinot Noir Rose is only available directly from the winery, and the beautiful “strawberries and cream” colour is matched only by the wines’ sweet and luscious flavour. Pair with the beautiful view at the Kitsch tasting room!

Beaumont Family Estate Winery

This lovely little winery in West Kelowna is always worth a stop! If you love both rosé and bubbles, try their Beaumont Serenade 2014, a blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir, with a touch of bubble. Savour the notes of cherry, cranberry, and sweet strawberries!

Cedar Creek Winery

Take the drive down the scenic Lakeshore Road to Cedar Creek, where their “wine is their word!” Their 2017 Platinum “Block 1” Pinot Noir Rose is sure to be another coveted wine of Cedar Creek’s vintages – so get it while it’s around! Notes of watermelon and herbs, with just the right amount of ripeness and depth.

Little Straw Vineyards

Visit Little Straw for their 2016 Pinot Rose, a rosé that boasts pinot noir aromas, with a smooth, off-dry palate and flavours of rhubarb and strawberry. The smooth, long finish carries a hint of cranberry and soft tannins.
 

St Hubertus & Oak Bay Estate Winery

This family-run winery is beautiful to visit, and you’ll love their wines – including the Frizzante Rose, the “perfect summer wine.” 91% Gamay and 9$ Pinot Noir, it drinks with flavours of cranberry, spicy strawberry, and cream.

Indigenous World Winery

Located in West Kelowna tucked away just off the highway, this vibrant new winery celebrates Indigenous culture and flavours with every wine. Their 2016 La’p Cheet is a Sparkling rosé named for an Okanagan Syilx word describing the “light sparkling off the water on a river.”
 

You’ll love the flavours of raspberry, licorice, and cassis with a delightful effervescence.

Quail’s Gate

An Okanagan classic, the Quail’s Gate Rose is the perfect summer sipper. Fruit forward and “easy-going,” the freshness of this dry rosé pairs with any patio, all summer long.   

Dirty Laundry

Dirty Laundry Vineyard’s best-selling wine, Hush, is a refreshing rosé made with a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Pinot Noir. You’ll taste notes of red apple and watermelon, and the crisp finish gives this wine great versatility!

The View Winery

The View Winery in East Kelowna makes 3 different roses! Try their Pinotage rosé, made with their signature grape and the only wine of its kind in North America. If you’re into bubbly, the Distraction Frizzante is a “party in a bottle” with bright, fruity, and floral notes form Riesling and Gewurztraminer grapes.

Arrowleaf Vineyard

Voted 2018 Spring Okanagan Best Rosé, the Arrowleaf Rose 2017 is a rosé not to miss this summer! Made from Pinot Noir and Zweigelt, its berry and floral aroma come from the grapes’ early harvest. It’s rich on the palate, with a touch of minerality.

The Hatch Vineyard

This incredible and quirky vineyard makes some quirky wines, including their rosé-a-like the “Orange Order.” It’s a white wine with notes of bergamot that gains its summery colour from maceration with the grape skins (the same process that rosé undergoes to get its signature pink hue).  Find The Hatch in West Kelowna, on Boucherie Road!
