The Kamloops Blazers have signed another one of the club’s recent draft picks to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Manitoba native Madden Tymchak put pen to paper with the Blazers on Tuesday.
The defenceman was selected in the third round, 46th overall, by Kamloops during May’s draft.
“We would like to welcome Madden and his family to the Kamloops Blazers organization,” said coach and GM Shaun Clouston. “We are excited to be a part of Madden’s development over the coming seasons.”
The 6’0”, 155 lbs blue liner played the 2023-24 season for the Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg U15 prep team, where he posted a goal and 29 helpers in 25 games.
Tymchak, who attended Blazers development camp earlier this month, is the club’s third 2024 draft pick to sign after Asher Gingras and Joaquin Geras.
