Job Title: Clerk Level 2/Receptionist

Rutland Waterworks, an improvement district located in Kelowna, is currently seeking a Clerk Level 2. The position reports directly to the Administrator.  

Responsibilities of the Work:

The Clerk Level 2 is one of two positions including receptionist and assistance pertaining to the day-to-day operations at the Rutland Waterworks office.

The Clerk 2 is responsible for:

• Answering phone calls and assisting customers
• Opening and closing the office
• Secretarial services for the office as directed by the Administrator
• Assisting with Accounts Receivable and billing
• Balance cash drawer and receipt register daily and report any discrepancies immediately to the Administrative Assistant
• Opening and closing accounts
• Process conveyance for lawyers
• Prepare Hangers
• Preparation for Board Meetings
• Maintain confidentiality

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive office experience

• Customer service experience

• Strong knowledge in Microsoft programs

• Data entry and accounting knowledge

• Knowledge of the Water Utility Industry, is a plus 

• Bondable

Education:

• Grade 12 education and any supporting education with regards to professional office operations and procedures
• Experience with Sage 300 is a plus, but not a requirement
• Experience with IUB is a plus, but not a requirement

This is a permanent and full-time position.
