Body of elderly man found in Osoyoos vacant lot

RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating after a body was found in Osoyoos.

Police were called to a vacant lot at the end of Cottonwood Drive around 10 am today.

Someone was walking in the area when they came across the body of an elderly man.

The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

However, according to Sgt. Jason Bayda, criminality is not suspected.

Due to the privacy of the deceased man, his name or identification will not be released.
