(UDPATE: Dec. 24 @ 12:50 pm) – It didn't take long for the RCMP's public appeal for help finding Shane William Clough to produce results.

Around an hour after the initial media release came in from the Vernon RCMP, a second release was sent out saying that the 33-year-old had been found.

Police say Clough is "safe and sound."

(Original story: Dec. 24 @ 12:10 pm) – RCMP in Vernon are hoping the public can help them locate Shane William Clough.

The 33-year-old Sicamous resident was last seen in Vernon on Dec. 21 and his family and friends say it’s out of character for Clough to be out of contact this long.

He’s described as a 5’11” Caucasian man with a slim build, shaggy brown hair and green eyes.

Clough was last seen wearing a black winter jacket, grey track pants and glasses, while carrying a white assistance cane.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Clough is urged to contact their local police.
