If you’re looking to kick off the new year in a refreshing way, CRIS Adaptive Adventures will once again be hosting their Polar Bear Dip on New Year's Day.
The sixth annual event invites the public to plunge into the frigid waters of Okanagan Lake, to not only usher in 2020 with a fresh perspective, but to fundraise in support of the local non-profit.

Donations garnered from the dip, will go on to bolster various CRIS programs that offer those living with physical disabilities adapted opportunities for outdoor adventures.
The immensely popular event welcomes hundreds each year, some dawning the typical swimwear, while others get dressed up as a team to spruce things up.

While in years previous, the event has been free to attend, this year CRIS is asking locals to register early for a minimum donation of $20, in hopes of reaching their $25,000 fundraising goal.
Starting at 1 pm, attendees and divers will have the chance to get a commemorative t-shirt and grab a snack from the food trucks prior to the dip at 2 pm sharp!
