  • Snowfall warning issued for Eagle Pass and Rogers Pass

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Trans-Canada Highway.

Up to 25 centimetres of snow is expected for the route over the next 24 hours, primarily in the areas of Eagle Pass and Rogers Pass.

“Snow at times heavy will begin this evening as a frontal system moves into the Columbia region,” says the Environment Canada alert.

“Heavy snow will continue into Friday morning with up to 25 cm possible by Friday afternoon.”

Visibility is also expected to be an issue in certain spots and weather can change very quickly in the mountains, so drivers are urged to exercise caution.
