If your coworker if a big skier or snowboarder and they’re not at work today, you should know where they are.

Both Big White and SilverStar are celebrating their opening days today ahead of what should be a great 2019-20 season.

There hasn’t been much snow to talk about in the Central Okanagan, so Big white only has one lift and three runs open today.

As a result, however, all lift tickets and rentals are 50% off until more terrain opens up.

SilverStar has seen a bit more of the white stuff and has begun the season with three lifts and more than 25 runs open to the public.

Tube town is also open if you want to get a few fun slides in.
