It was so popular, Canada literally bought A&W out of its new Beyond Meat Burger this summer.

The plant-based burger has been out of stock since mid-August, but as of today it’s back in A&Ws across Canada.

A&W calls it their fastest and most successful new product launch ever, although hungry Canadians who wanted to the Beyond Meat Burger over the last few weeks might disagree.

"Today, we're thrilled to say the Beyond Meat Burger is back and we thank all of our guests for their enthusiasm and patience," said Susan Senecal, president and CEO of A&W Food Services of Canada.

"We know it's never nice to hear 'sorry we're sold out,' so we've been working hard to bring back the Beyond Meat Burger. We look forward to serving you!"
 

The Beyond Meat Burger features a 100% plant-based patty made from protein-rich pulse crops, like peas and mung beans.

It comes with lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayo, all staples of an A&W burger.

The fast-food chain also dropped new coupons today, which don’t include any for the Beyond Meat Burger but there are a number of other great deals available at www.awcoupon.ca.
