Hi, I am Angela and I am an Imagery Technician (photographer) in the Military. I was posted to Victoria six years ago and fell in love with the Vancouver Island lifestyle. I love nature and the outdoors and enjoy hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding and paddle boarding. I am also the proud owner of a cat name Artemis and a nine-month-old Labradoodle puppy named Finley.

Why do you use Instagram?

 I am a photographer by trade so I guess I was drawn to Instagram for the “day in the life” through imagery.

What will people see on your feed? 

Haha ….Ok, long story short. My own Instagram page was getting taken over with photos and videos of my dog so I decided to give Finley his own page. I thought it would be fun to follow other dog owners and their adventures and maybe they would enjoy Finley’s adventures too! I only set his page up a couple days ago and he already has a few followers.

Does your page have a specific style?

I am not sure about a style but the page documents Finley as he grows and captures the special/funny moments when living with a puppy.

@laducb @campingwithdogs @wilderness_retriever @unleashedexplorers are some of my favorite pages to follow for the amazing imagery/blog about traveling with dogs. 

How do you decide on your location for shoots? 

I don’t decide on a location. Most of the images are captured while we are out in a walk/hike. I try to capture the photos in the moment. If there is a nice backdrop then I would ask Finley to sit. He is a very good model. 

Biggest Instagram moment?

I don’t think there was a particular moment but I do recall being surprised by the positive response from friends and family when I posted photos of Finley. I didn’t expect friends would enjoy following along on my dog's adventures but they really enjoy when I share those moments.
