  • PHOTOS: Summer storm turns into spectacular sunset

A dark and grey Tuesday night, lit up by lightning strikes across the Okanagan Valley, turned quite colourful when the sun went down.

After being treated to a lightning show, and a double rainbow, Kelowna got to enjoy a spectacular post-storm sunset, one of the best of the summer so far.

The sky turned a fiery shade of orange into a gorgeous mix of pink and blue before the sun was finally done its show for the evening.

It was the perfect way to end a blazing hot day that turned into a hectic evening, as lightning sparked up a number of small fires across the region.

There was no shortage of incredible sunset photos on social media, so we picked a handful that really stood out to us to share with you.
