It looks like another perfect Okanagan beach day.

Temperatures should soar past 30°C today under blue skies and sunshine, as the summer weather really sets in.

Enjoy it, however, as the wind and rain has a small chance of returning on Friday night.

“There will be a slight change in the upper air pattern on Friday night, bringing the possibility of windy conditions on Friday evening and into Saturday,” said Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist.

“At this time it is uncertain if we will see see any precipitation Friday evening but all signs point to high pressure rebounding for sunshine again by Saturday.”

Once again the pollen index is moderate in Kelowna today, but it’s the sunscreen that you won’t want to forget.

The UV index in the Okanagan is expected to get up to 9 today, which is considered very high.
