If you can sneak away to the beach today, you’re absolutely going to want to.
After a bit of a cooler day on Tuesday where the Okanagan even saw some rain, the start of an expected longer stretch of summer weather begins today.
“In the wake of yesterday’s weather system, we are going to see gradual warming with plenty of sunshine when warm air returns,” explains Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist. “Expect highs in the mid to upper 20s today and highs near 30°C tomorrow.”
Although it’s hard to trust a long term forecast, Environment Canada calls for nothing but sunshine and temperatures around 30°C for the next week.
Kelowna’s pollen index is once again moderate and you’ll want to break out the sunscreen again as the UV index is expected to get to a very high 9 today.
