At around 3 a.m. on Monday night, RCMP were called to Ron Brent Elementary for the report of a fire.

According to RCMP, someone lit the little library on fire as an act of vandalism. All that remains is a pile of ash.

There were no witnesses which is making the investigation difficult.

This book exchange works on an honor system where you take a book, leave a book.

People can choose to bring back the same book or replace it with a new one.

It also held many flyers and information pamphlets for students on summer activities.

RCMP are asking anyone with information to come forward.
