  • City of West Kelowna provides update on Boucherie Road construction

Next summer it will be part of a wonderful wine trail, but this summer it’s a bit of a nuisance.

Construction on Phase 2 of the Boucherie Road Wine Trail is well underway and work has been progressing nicely, according to the City of West Kelowna.

Crews have already installed around 1,100 lineal metres of water mains, along with 700 lineal metres of storm main, catch basin manholes and other storm related works.

Commissioning of the new water main is expected in July and construction of roundabouts will begin in the coming weeks.

Detours along Stuart Road, Thacker Drive and Ogden Road remain in place and will be for the remainder of construction, which is still on track for a November completion date.

Wineries, businesses and facilities along the route remain open and can be accessed by following signage that is posted along the project’s detour routes.

Motorists are encouraged to use these signed detour routes and avoid adjacent neighbourhoods as through routes.
