  • Special weather statement remains in effect for PG

    A special weather statement remains in effect for Prince George.

    Yesterday afternoon, the weather statement was issued due to temperatures reaching 20 degrees.

    These high temperatures combined with significant snowmelt has increased water levels.

    According to Environment Canada, the water levels have risen in some watersheds over the Central Interior and localized flooding has been reported.

    Cooler temperatures and rain are expected today.

    Quesnel to fort St. James will see the most rainfall with potentially 10 to 20 mm. Local thunderstorms in the afternoon could give an additional 10 mm which has the potential to increase flooding.
