This is some breaking news!

  • 5 events to check out on the first weekend of November

If you're like many other people in Kelowna, the weekend for you is all about enjoying the city at your own leisurely pace. Maybe you’ll head to a new to you local restaurant, support our small business owners or check out a fun community event. No matter what you may get up to, Kelowna always has something fun to do on your days off.

If you want to get out and about this weekend but aren't sure where to start, here is a list of great things we think you should check out on your weekend excursions.

This annual event is hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association and showcases the skill and creativity of its ArtWorks students. The theme of the event is Seeking To Understand: To have everyone listen, learn and care.

The event takes place on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the RCA and will feature stunning creations and remarks from Mayor Basran.

This annual fundraiser is the cat's meow! With a cuddle lounge, photo booth and pup runway, you can expect to be gushing over many cute furry friends, all the while lending a paw to help those who need it. The event will showcase some of Kelowna’s most adorable adoptees and share the stories of those who have persevered through tough times to find their furever homes.

    The Pack A.D.

Vancouver garage-rock duo, The Pack A.D. are returning to Kelowna yet again (thankfully). Hot off the release of their newest album Dollhouse, these two psych-pop enthusiasts know how to make killer music and put on a fierce live performance. They will wreak havoc at Doc Willoughby’s starting at 10 p.m. this Saturday.

Winfield’s 28th annual Christmas Craft Fair

Now that Halloween has passed, it’s on to the next holiday and Winfield is set to host the first Christmas-themed craft fair of the season. Held at Winfield Memorial Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Sunday, you can attempt to get some holiday shopping done early with a host of vendors tables to browse.
