Season 15 of the 'Mercer Report' begins this week.
On Monday, Rick Mercer confirmed that it will also be the last season of the show, which has been a staple of Canadian television for the last decade and a half.
Mercer took to Twitter to make the announcement on Monday, admitting that he has “no idea” what he’ll do after the show ends.

The show debuted in January 2004 as 'Rick Mercer’s Monday Report'.
It’s a mixture of political satire, various segments across Canada and pre-taped skits.
Sure, it has evolved over the years, but one thing that’s always remained consistent is this – I’ve always known I had the best job in the country,” Mercer said in a video posted to Twitter. “It has been a huge privilege to be invited into your home every single week, I can’t tell you how much fun it’s been.”
Mercer won’t be going out quietly though, as he promised a spectacular final season to the viewers.

The show made an “epic roadtrip” to all three Canadian coasts, which included Mercer painting a grain elevator, dangling off the Confederation Bridge and much more.
“I have been covered head to toe in peanut butter and licked clean by 32 golden retrievers,” boasted Mercer.
The season premiere airs on CBC on Tuesday.
