Another high-rise condo is coming to downtown Kelowna.

Mission Group announced on Wednesday morning that its newest project, ELLA, has received final approvals from Kelowna City Council.

Up next for the future building at Ellis Street and Lawrence Avenue will be a construction plan and the opening of a sales centre this fall.

“This is a proud moment for us,” said Jonathan Friesen, CEO of Mission Group. “ELLA has it all: every home will have a view, its contemporary concrete design features innovative living spaces, a greened roof terrace and its located in the highly desirable Bernard District.”

ELLA will feature 116 condos within a 20-storey high-rise concrete building, the latest in what is becoming an urban awakening for Kelowna.

Construction is expected to start in early 2018.

With retail space on the ground floor and parking on floors two through six, residential units won’t start until the sixth floor, meaning everyone will have a view.

One of the building’s most attractive features will be the central location in downtown Kelowna with a walk score of 97 out of 100.
