At the second Home Meet of the season and first Long Course Meet, it was a statement weekend in the pool as Kelowna Aquajets swimmers dominated across a full program of events, earning podium finishes in the 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Fly, 100 Breast, 200 IM, 200 Breast, 50 Free, 100 Back, 100 Fly, 400 Free, 400 IM and 200 Free. From the youngest 11 & Under swimmers to the 16 & Over age groups, athletes showed depth, versatility, and competitive confidence.
New club records were set by Vincent Bruentrup in the 1500 free 10&U boys from 2007 while Sophia Golinowski broke the girls 10&U 50 fly from 2010!!! Other records that were set by Olivia Golinowski in the girls 13-14 800 free while Liam Chew set 3 new records in the 15-17 boys 50 breast and the 15-17 as well as the Open boys 200 breast!!! Way to go!

The 200 Backstroke opened with standout swims from Alice Walters and Isaac Johnson, both capturing gold in their age groups. Eva Ball added another gold performance, while Mei-viz Lou, Charlotte Barr, Mattias Haugli, Finn Kirk, and Elliot Kee secured additional podium finishes. Liam Chew closed the event with a dominant gold in the 16&O division.
Sprint racing in the 100 Freestyle and 50 Freestyle continued the medal momentum. Kelly Choi, Ava Mailey, Mattias Haugli, and Jamie Angus-Reyes led gold medal efforts, with strong podium swims from Olivia Weiler, McKinley Clement, Vincent Bruentrup, Emilio Bermudez Castellanos, Max Parmar, Halle Havens, Blake Bernhardt, and Emilie Golinowski.
The 200 Butterfly saw equally strong finishes featuring gold swims from Elodie Sandler and Olivia Golinowski, while Macy Clement, Riley Miller, Juliet Nicholson, Eddie Bidwell, Finn Kirk, and Eli Arthur added depth across the podium. Liam Chew again struck gold in the 16 & Over division.

In breaststroke events, Macy Clement, Alice Walters, and Kelly Choi led gold medal performances in the 200 Breast. The 100 Breaststroke saw additional podium strength from Macy Clement, Robyn Mackay, Alice Walters, McKinley Clement, Ella Babrings, Emilie Golinowski, Filippo Raineri, Jaxon Ritchie, Andy Guo, Rilo Kehler, Anson Chow, and Durban Roy, including a clean team sweep in the 16&O boys division (Rilo, Anson & Durban).
The 100 Back and 100 Fly events highlighted the team’s versatility. Alice Walters swam to gold in the 100 back and Mattias Haugli swam to gold in 100fly. Other strong podium finishes were had by Sophia Golinowski, Amelia Ahn Lou, Ava Mailey, Eric Bidwell, Eddie Bidwell, Elliot Kee, Lillah Kee, Elodie Sandler, Ameila-Ahn Lou, Vincent Bruentrup, Eli Arthur, and Rilo Kehler contributing medals across multiple age groups.

The 200 IM was one of the weekend’s defining races, featuring stacked podiums and repeated team sweeps. Gold medal performances came from Elodie Sandler, Eva Ball, Tobias Allott, and Emilie, while Macy Clement, Lilah Kee, McKinley Clement, Vincent Bruentrup, Mattias Haugli, Jaxson and Emilio added to the medal count. KAJ sweeps came from Eva Ball, Riley Miller, Mei-viz Lou in girls 14-15, Emilie Golinowski, Ava Mailey, Juliet Nicholson swept the 16&O girls while Tobias Allott, Jaxson Ritchie and Emilio Bermudez Castellanos swept the 14-15 boys!
The 400 Free and 400 IM saw Max Parmar take gold in the 16&O in both events while Juliet Nicholson captured silver in the 400 IM other podium finishes were had by Kelly Choi, Olivia Golinowski and Elliot Kee.
The 200 Freestyle closed the meet with another wave of podium finishes. Alice Walters, Vincent Bruentrup and Liam Chew captured gold, supported by strong swims from Elodie Sandler, Ellie Chew, Emilie Golinowski, Juliet Nicholson, Mattias Haugli and Finn Kirk.
With multiple podium sweeps and repeat medalists across sessions, the meet stands as one of the team’s most complete performances so far this season.
