The West Kelowna Warriors have dealt Carter Oakenfold to the Victoria Grizzlies for future considerations.
Oakenfold spent the past three seasons in West Kelowna and served as an alternate captain this season.

GM and head coach Simon Ferguson said it was not an easy trade to make.
“With Ian Alonso set to come off long-term injury reserve, we would be heading into the new year with too many overage players, which required us to make a difficult decision,” he explained.
“Carter is a great person, and we want nothing but the best for him in Victoria and moving forward.”
The Warriors are first in the Interior West division and second overall in the BCHL heading into 2026, which will begin on the road.
They head to Alberta for games against the Blackfalds Bulldogs and Brooks Bandits this coming weekend, then take on the Smoke Eaters in Trail on Jan. 9 before returning to Royal LePage Place on Jan. 10.
