  • PHOTOS: Kelowna flocks downtown to celebrate Canada Day

    With the sun shining and temperatures pushing up into the mid 30s, it was a perfect day to head downtown and celebrate Canada Day.

    Thousands of people did just that on Tuesday, taking advantage of the beautiful weather and wide range of activities put on by Festivals Kelowna.

    From wiener dogs to a Made in Canada marketplace to live music and everything in between, there was something for people of all ages to enjoy downtown.

    We went out with a camera to capture some smiling faces and the city’s festive spirit, which you can see on display in the gallery below.

    There’s still plenty of time to celebrate Canada Day in Kelowna this afternoon and evening, culminating with the always-popular fireworks show starting at 10 pm.

    If you’re unable to catch the fireworks in person, we’ll be livestreaming them on our X account for you to enjoy!
